Digestive System
The Digestive System is a series of organs that help to break down food into smaller and simpler molecules that can be later absorbed into the body. Animals ingest food in large quantities, so there are steps in the process to help break it down.
1. Ingestion of food
2. Secretion of excess fluids and digestive enzymes
3. Movement of food throughout the body
4. Digestion of food
5. Absorption of nutrients
6. Excretion of bodily wastes
Not every animal has the same body system, therefor they are broken up into different groups as to how the all function.

Phylums
Phylums are all the different taxonomic groups, broken down into nine categories-- Mollusca, Porifera, Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Annelida, Arthropoda, Echinodermata, and Chordata. All of these different Phylums have a different way that they digest and execrate there food.
