annelida
Annelids or earth in the Latin language are a large phylum of worms that have a digestive system that consists of a mouth, esophagus, crop, gizzards, intestines, and anus. These animals have generally have a straight tube to digest food that starts at the mouth and ends at the anus.
Earthworm
The digestive system of an Earthworm consists of the pharynx, the esophagus, the crop, the intestine, and the gizzard. Food enters the mouth where it is swallowed by the pharynx. Then it passes down the esophagus where glands release a calcium carbonate to rid the worm's body of excess calcium. After that the food moves into the crop where it is stored and then it moves into the gizzard. In the gizzard the food is grinder up completely and pushed into the intestines. There the intestine releases fluids to aid the digestive process and also where the food is absorbed. Earthworms usually eat soil while they move underground.
leech
Leeches are worm like organisms that get their food from feeding on the blood of other animals. They are usually found in lakes and ponds. They have an opening at each side of the body that penetrate the skin of the animal in a Y shape. After it attaches on the body it starts to cut through the skin of the animal and starts to suck the blood. The blood enters the body and is injected with a blood thinning solution that makes it easier for it to flow through the digestive system. It then flows down the esophagus and into the bladder. Enzymes break down the blood and converts it into energy. A chemical is also injected into the blood when it is stored so it doesn't clot. A leech can store up to 5 times its body mass in blood.
inchworm
It consumes the food and pushes it down the esophagus and enters the crop where it is covered in mucus and saliva. Then it travels down the gizzard and gets turned into a liquid type substance. After that it moves into the intestines where it absorbs all the nutrients. The inchworm usually feeds off of leaves and the bark of trees.
